Katou leaned back and stretched; across from him, Kei did something similar, bending slightly forward and extending her arms in front of her to loosen the kinks. As usual, they decided to use the divide and conquer approach for their latest bout of homework – this time for math and biology.

It had been easy enough to find the answer to the biology question. Each twin had written “An adult human has 206 bones in their body,” – with Katou’s wording being different from Kei’s, of course. The math question just looked easy, so both felt the need to double-check their findings.

“…pfft, of course there’s no such thing as sixty-six minutes past six,” Katou muttered, chuckling at the same time. An appreciative laugh issued forth from the dark-haired other. “So what’ve you got that checks out, again?”

“Hang on…” Kei consulted the sheet of paper she’d sketched a digital clock on. “Let’s start with the obvious ones… from 12 midnight, the most obvious ones are 12:22, 1:11…” And so it went, the twins confirming each other’s answers. From there, they finished quickly.

“So in one day, a digital clock displays 3 or more of the same number…”

“34 times - 17 in the morning, 17 in the afternoon and evening.”

For the second time that half hour they spent checking the math homework, Katou stretched. “Glad that’s done, then.”
Kei: The math one kinda threw me off, to be honest *slightly sheepish look*

Katou: Good thing we double-checked our work, huh?
